I am urgently looking for a DBA with minimum of 5 years of experience for a client in the Netherlands (Amsterdam/Utrecht). This client is a big financial institution and is well established in the Dutch market.As a PostgreSQL administrator, you will participate in the project to set up a platform in which PostgreSQL DBs will be used.
The PostgreSQL database administration will cover some of the essential server administration activities:
Install PostgreSQL Server
Load sample database
Create a database
Create a table
Insert data into tables
Update existing records inside a table
Delete Records in a table
Remove duplicate records
Query data from a table
Create a subquery
Get data from multiple tables
Create and manage roles
Create a view
Create tablespace
Backup and restore database
Filter and sort data
Use various operators
Use aggregate and analytic functions
Create triggers
Who are you?
A professional with a Bachelors or Masters degree, who has at least a first professional experience in the field of database administration in a data warehouse.
You have a good command of PostgreSQL
You have experience with Ansible
Through your experience working with development teams, you are already familiar with Agile
You are interested in new IT technologies such as Big Data and you are willing to work in an international team
You have excellent interpersonal skills. You are fluent in writing and take great care in documenting your work.
Your sense of analysis and synthesis enables you to deliver quality work while giving priority to meeting deadlines.
Finally, you have a good command of English.
