Description

I am looking or a Manufacturing Engineer to work for a Oil and Gas client in the midlands.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Engineering Projects Lead, the Design For Manufacturing (DFM) Engineer supports the project team in the design, coordination and review of manufacturing tooling, manufacturing process steps and acts as a key liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality departments. As well as designing and specifying tooling requirements, the DFM Engineer will be present during the build of the project to help monitor build progress and ensure Engineering requirements are being followed. Working closely with the Engineering project team, the DFM Engineer will help produce/review step by step manufacturing drawings/documentation to help ensure the Engineering design intent is captured accurately to ensure repeatability. Using their experience help to ensure adherence to Lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications/Requirements

. Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering HNC/HND, Degree (or equivalent) or higher.
. Minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy engineering environment.
. Knowledge of rotating machines products, their engineering challenges and manufacturing processes.
. Experienced in engineering design processes and tools preferred (especially 2D/3D CAD (Auto CAD and/or Creo/ProE).
. Computer literate in Microsoft Office + applications.
. Flexible approach, willing to work extended hours and travel as and when required.
. Good written and oral skills.
