Description

Harvey Nash's public sector client is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist for an initial 6 month contract. You will be leading the development, planning and implementation of commodity strategies for low to medium value, low/medium risk procurements and assisting the Senior Portfolio Specialist in progressing high value/risk procurements, optimising value for money across the organisation.

Essential skills:

* Knowledge and understanding of the full end-to-end strategic procurement process.

* Good communication and relationship management skills.

* Project Management, Excel, PowerPoint, knowledge and experience.

Desirable skills:

* Understanding of the challenges and complexities of procurement in the Scottish Public Sector

* Experience of procurement transformation projects or programmes

* Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

* Working knowledge of Public Contracts Scotland (PCS)
