Role: AWS Data Engineer Expert
Duration: Contract 2-3 months
Location: Fulham
Industry: Elite Sporting Company
My client who is an elite sporting company located in the Fulham area are seeking a Data Engineer to come on board across various different projects. The successful individual must have in depth AWS based specialism with of knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud) stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure data layers are maintained across web and app and the correct SDKs or Tag Management systems are operationally and accurate.
- Work closely with internal POs, external agencies and a 3rd party development team to make sure deliverables meet deadlines and agreed quality measures.
- Creation and maintenance of ETL jobs in AWS and GCP.
- High degree of automation experience and demonstrable experience in reduction of manual intervention into data pipelines.
- Integration of 3rd party data sources using APIs.
- Support data analyst with the creation of analytics data models
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP billing models and knowledge of how to optimise storage and computing costs
Required Experience Technical:
- 3+ years experience of engineering within cloud solutions (AWS and/or GCP preferable)
- Excellent programming and Scripting languages: Python, Java, Bash, SQL
- Experience building end-to-end data solutions and pipelines
- Experience building analytics data sets and deploying these to BI tools
- Knowledge and understanding of data quality process and checks
Required Experience Personal:
- Experience or desire to work within start-up environment
- Good communication and happy to document tasks as you go along
- Ability to work across multiple products simultaneously, whilst maintaining a commitment to the core business team.
- Proactive attitude to data quality
