UX Designer (HTML, CSS, JS)

6 Month rolling Contract

Upto £450pwd Via an Umbrella Company

Our client has been serving the households, businesses and communities of Britain for over 250 years. They offer a comprehensive range of financial products and services - including current accounts, savings, mortgages, loans and credit cards.

Responsibilities

  • The quality, creativity and delivery of UX design for the assigned themes within and associated products. Ensures outputs of teams are of high quality and are consistent with the brief and the brand
  • Carry out and assist on UI and Front End activities
  • Speaking to and researching LBG customers to gain an unparalleled understanding of their requirements and motivations
  • Increasing product and brand engagement and satisfaction ratings through designing a high quality, visually appealing and customer-centric digital experience
  • Improving the usability of the system and therefore its acceptance by customers
  • Managing the full life cycle of UX design across multiple products and working effectively with all stakeholders to understand and reflect their perspectives at all stages
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across other disciplines to concept and produce high quality, detailed deliverables that are consistent with the brief and the brand (eg scamps, wireframes, prototypes, sitemaps, user stories, journeys, personas etc.)
  • Work with the business to clarify the requirements for a piece of work
  • Provide detailed plans of UX work required for a project

Essential Skills and Experience

  • At least 5 years' experience in UX design for large scale projects in the Financial Services sector
  • Ability to code: Javascript, Bootstrap, CSS etc
  • UI Design experience
  • Proficiency with essential design & business tools (Axure, inVision, Adobe CC, MS Office)
  • Owns the design and documentation for the UX design process (and has a deep understanding of where it fits in to the overall journey).
  • Knowledge of managing key stakeholders in the business who come from digital and non-digital backgrounds

Other Skills and Experience Required

  • Good planning and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are managed
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Understands when to escalate issues
  • Ability to listen and learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
  • BSc or MSc in relevant area (Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computing)
