Technical Test Lead - 3 months - £475 - £525 - Outside IR35
Solirius Consulting is a consultancy that specialises in technical architecture, software delivery and support. We are currently looking to recruit experienced Technical Project/Test Lead to join us to work on projects within the Public Sector.
As a Technical Test Lead your role will be to define and implement automation test strategies, review existing test strategies, implement test plans, defect management, stakeholder comms and reporting; and ascertain areas for improvement. You'll also work with teams to resolve testing related blockers and lead and train others.
The key experience and skills we are looking for in candidates is:
- 5+ years proven experience of leading test automation teams and delivery of testing solutions
- Strong experience of working in an Agile+DevOps environment
- A testing mindset - strong understanding of how applications are built, and hence can be tested. Is customer centric, and recognizes where risks in applications could exist.
- Consumer Contract Testing/PACT - Good working knowledge of how to implement CCT using PACT.
- Restful API - Good knowledge of HTTP, REST, microservices architecture, API Testing, Tools and techniques for API testing. (ie HTTP client, REST Assured, Serenity etc.)
- Testing Frameworks - Knowledge of Test Libraries for Unit, Acceptance and End To End Testing for eg JUNIT, TestNG, CodeCepttJS, Cucumber etc.
- Build Automation Tools - Familiarity with open source build automation tools like Maven and Gradle that can build almost any type of software.
- CI/CD Tools and Pipeline - Knowledge of at-least one build tool eg Jenkins CI. Ability to setup a build pipeline on Jenkins and integrate testing.
- JIRA project set-up and management
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing objectives
- Decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication
- Experience of working with third-party solutions providers is a plus.
