Trade Floor 2nd Line Desktop/Server Support - Banking

This is a tremendous opportunity with a very large and prestigious organisation for someone with good previous experience of providing 2nd line support in trade floor environment ! Alas, the client will not consider anyone that has not worked on trading floor previously in such a role.

The role will involve:

Provide support to walk-up and email requests, creating tickets, and escalating as required.

Providing 1st/2nd line support of the IT environment (ie PC build and configuration, Application software, SCCM, Printing, Anti-virus, Share point, AD group, User setups, SourceOne, Bitdefender)

Liaise, coordinate and monitor the escalation to 3rd level support groups.

Supporting the video conferencing environment.

Supporting the office printer environment and escalating to 3rd level resolver groups when required

Ad-hoc IT project work when required

1st and 2nd line support of Systems infrastructure which consists of HP workstations and HP/Cisco Blade Server technology running Windows OS, EMC SANs, Avaya and IPC telephony systems and Cisco Networks. Systems support for a number of trading applications including Refinitiv and Bloomberg. Basic support of Checkpoint Firewall.

Workstation and Server hardware and software build. Also maintaining automated build for workstations and Servers. Administration, configuration and support of Workstation and Server infrastructure.

Administration, configuration and support of trading and operations application

To be considered for the role, you will require the following:

You must have considerable experience of providing desktop and server support in a trade floor environment. Sadly, we won't be able to consider your application without this experience.

Very strong technical skills with PC build and configuring application software, SCCM, Printing, Anti-virus software, AD groups and setting up new users.

Some experience at the very least to 2nd line level Systems of HP workstations and HP/Cisco Blade Server technology running Windows 2012/2016

Preference will be given to candidates who have previously supported EMC SANs, Avaya and IPC telephony systems and Cisco Networks to 2nd line level

Previous experience of supporting market data and trading applications

Be prepared to support planned weekend activities, including but not restricted to business continuity tests, disaster recovery tests and desk moves, if so required.

Be prepared to provide on-site support to the European offices on UK public holidays.

Participate in a shift rota, providing cover between 07:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday.
