F5 Load Balancer
Our client, a global provider of IT services, requires Network Engineer with expert F5 Load balancer and cloud migration hands on experience/knowledge to provide BAU support.
This is a 12+month temporary contract based in Milton Keynes starting on the 1st of September tbc. You must be flexible to be on-call roughly once per month.
Successful applicants must have strong technical knowledge on F5 Loadbalance, latest versions of LTM, GTM configuration and function, iRules health Monitors, process to upgrade, WAF, change management process, types of loadbalancing and cloud migration experience.
Strong communication, teamwork and client facing skills are also important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Private and Public Hybrid Cloud support consisting of Cisco ACi, AWS & Azure
- (LTM, GTM, irules, F5)- what versions of LTM
- Pre-requisites to create WIP Load-balancers in 3 nodes
- Different types of load balancing
- Different ways to redirect irules
- Can man dashboards
- Agile training model - agile way delivering these services
- Assisting with implementation tasks, proof of concept testing, elements of component design and routing/switching integrations
- Delivering solutions aligned with the cloud roadmap and aligned to our Corporate strategy and focused on automated processes and DevOps culture
- Cisco ACI, Leaf and Spine Technologies
- NSX, Micro-segmentation, Net Insight
- Ansible/Python automation
- Duties include the support of traditional Networking Infrastructure and will require skills in routing, switching, load-balancing.
- A sound understanding of telecommunications technologies, fundamentals and principles
- Excellent understanding of Load Balancing solutions, iRules, LTM & GTM
- DNS and DHCP Implementation and support
- Support of Wireless infrastructure
- Maintain Technical documentation
- Network Diagnosis and Packet Capturing
Key Skills/Knowledge:
- Industry recognised Networking vendor qualification to intermediate level
- Data Network switch and routing background - Nexus, IOS, ASR, BGP, OSPF
- LTM and GTM configuration and functions - iRules, Health Monitors, F5
- Cisco ACI
- DNS and DHCP - QIP, Infoblox
- Firewall and security architecture knowledge
- DNS, A-Records, MX and TXT
- Network Diagnosis and Packet Capturing
- Experience in configuration management using tools such as Ansible
- Specialist level knowledge in Routing
- Specialist level knowledge in Switching
- Specialist level knowledge in Load-balancing
- Competent with DNS & DHCP
- Good foundation knowledge on Firewall
- Competent with SDN
- Competent with Cloud Networks
- Spanish language skills would be desirable but not essential
