Description
A Windows 10 IT Architect is required for our client based in Prestwich, Manchester. This will be for an initial 6 month contract.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person to join our clients Windows 10 project in the role of an IT Architect. A tender process has taken place to select a supplier to carry out the design and implementation of the supporting infrastructure for Windows 10. This will include upgrade/replacement of Active Directory and SCCM systems and the introduction of new systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the Windows 10 project team, including supplier partners, to provide technical assurance through the design and governance processes as the new and improved services are brought into production.
The successful applicant must be confident and an excellent communicator who is comfortable negotiating with senior stakeholders.
Main duties of the role:
- To support the IS Branch, by providing governance and assurance around the design and implementation of the technical solutions.
- To provide expert advice on the Windows 10 and related IT solutions and how they fit together architecturally across an organisation.
- To build technical product roadmaps for the Windows 10 product set.
- To support Senior Level management in ensuring that IS Branch strategy is in alignment through architecture design and implementation.
- To provide expert advice to senior managers and suppliers on IT architectures across the enterprise to ensure alignment against blueprints.
Required experience:
- Significant experience of working within an architecture environment in a complex medium to large sized organisation, ensuring that technical projects align against the organisation strategy, architecture and governance objectives.
- Significant practical experience of implementing resilient IT applications in a complex multi-vendor environment.
- Experience of providing assurance against specified architectural standards.
- Significant experience of the Windows 10 underlying architectures, specifically Active Directory, SCCM, Microsoft 365, Identity and Access Management.
Desirable experience:
- Experience of SailPoint IdentityNow Identity and Access Management solution.
