Job Title: Data Base Administrator

Duration: 3 months (Possible Extension)

Location: Bootle (Work from Home till further notice)

IR35: Outside

Role Overview: Intelligent Resource is currently recruiting for Data Base Administrator to join one of their key project teams in Bootle.

On client's instructions, due to the urgency, nature and length of the assignment, the successful candidate must have current security clearance (SC Clearance) to a high level.

Role Overview:

To provide a database administration service within a range of assignments. Achieve results and provide services either personally or through others in a specific area or discipline to meet defined quality or efficiency standards or to ensure best practice advice is given. Individuals possess the skills, knowledge and ability to perform and deliver without day-to-day supervision. They possess the ability to solve problems with commercial judgment and are influential in customer relationships. Roles at this level will require a detailed understanding of methods, systems and procedures. The work involves limited guidance and only general instructions from more senior colleagues. Therefore initiative and judgment are required to address and resolve daily problems.

Essential Skills

  • The Senior Database Administrator will have sound knowledge of the latest developments and future strategy for their technology area.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of associated tools, techniques and methods within their specialist areas of data administration, data management, database technologies and data availability
  • Demonstrable experience of working as a Senior Database Administrator on medium to large data management or software engineering or delivery programmes/projects.
  • Project/team leadership of a DBA or data management team.
  • Technical Knowledge, understands implications of technology, environment and infrastructure on the business.
  • Database Design, can accurately interpret systems design to produce logical database design.
  • Define and agree database sizing and specify requirements
  • Define and agree database security and specify requirements
  • Define backup and recovery strategy
  • Produce physical database design and manage all testing, monitoring, inventory, environment, change and issue resolution.
  • SQL experience - Database engine, T-SQL, maintenance plans, availability groups, encryption, incident management.

  • Sharepoint Online experience
