Role: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: West Midlands
Duration: Initial 6 months
Rate: £15 - £19 per hour INSIDE IR35

*Cisco experience, 3rd line, Active Directory, backups
*Knowledge of server, network and communications operating systems and associated technologies ideally gained in large scale distributed environment.
*Experience providing support and development services in a busy IT service.
*Experience of negotiating with and managing third parties
*To assist in server, network and communications design and installation along with maintenance and support of the server, LAN, WAN and voice infrastructure. To assist in the configuration and troubleshooting of Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN's, IPS, VoIP, wireless, WAN acceleration and related systems.
*To handle server, network and communications service incidents to resolution and pursue problem management where appropriate.
*To work with the Senior IT Infrastructure Lead to help develop policies and procedures and facilitate testing that applies to the acquisition, management and use of information technology equipment, services and hardware across the stakeholder organisations. This will relate to the internal work of the IT service and to organisation wide issues affecting all clinical and non-clinical staff such as information and IT security policies and procedures.
*To work with the Senior IT Infrastructure Lead and other Infrastructure Analysts to develop, maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity policies and procedures for the IT service and assess how these policies will impact on all areas of the health community.
