A pragmatic Enterprise Architect is required. This is not an exercise of governance design, but of leading discovery, design and propositions. Working end-to-end; enterprise analysis, design, planning, and implementation, using a comprehensive approach at all times, for the successful development and execution of strategy. A full top down review of the entire enterprise, the output from which will drive a broad range of solutions spanning the full business and technology landscape.

This position will suit a highly experienced Enterprise Architect with skills, experience and ability spanning;

  • a broad range of senior stakeholders, including IT and Finance

  • producing architectures and strategies for products and services, aimed at driving efficiencies, reducing cost etc (including convergence, clustering, centralised services etc)
  • aligned to a strategic Architectural view and business strategy.
  • working with hypotheses, creating hypothesis based on data and driving solutions that balance risk and value.
  • building proposals and business cases underpinned by sound commercial benefit.
  • delivering in highly commercially focused enterprise, where Capex needs to return.
  • Enterprise Architecture best practices and tooling (TOGAF, Orbis iServer tooling)
  • Technical background with knowledge of modern IT technology stack, especially data and application frameworks
  • Ability to grasp detail (including technical detail) and quickly assimilate this into simple, actionable and business-relevant themes
  • Strong commercial awareness. Able to prioritise based on greatest business value (collaboratively with the rest of the team)
  • technical design and visualisation (Visio)
  • A 'completer-finisher' -taking accountability for ideas from inception to delivery, in an environment that requires robust metrics to confirm success
  • Fluent in English, additional languages (Adriatics and Dutch in particular) advantageous (definitely non-essential).
  • Of particular interest (but non-essential); experience on both sides of the fence; government body commissioning services/private side delivering.
