What's the role?

Azure Engineer & Architect - Containerisation with OpenShift & AKS, Financial Services sector (currently a remote working assignment)

You'll be joining an industry-leading team of Azure Cloud experts, the engineering force behind the consumption of Cloud services on Microsoft Azure & Hybrid solutions, leading Architecture Design for clients across a range of industries, and will represent us as a key resource with one of our leading strategic clients. Within this strategic client, you will join a team who look after one of the largest networks in the world.

For this specific engagement, this role will sit within a team looking to mature and develop a recently delivered Azure platform, focussing on containerisation - by looking to build the container orchestration platform at an enterprise level.

Who we're looking for

Specific technology asks include:

  • Azure expertise essential
  • OpenShift, AKS and Kubernetes expertise is key for this engagement. Ideally, someone who has delivered containerisation on an enterprise level and understands the delivery of this into a Financial Services organisation (with an appreciation of the security elements involved here)
  • Azure DevOps Pipeline
  • PowerShell, Azure CLI and Bash

What you'll be doing

  • Cloud Lead Engineer & Architect role that focuses on OpenShift & AKS, containerisation and building the container orchestration platform.
  • The end client uses OpenShift today; but is moving to AKS within the next quarter.
  • The role is integral to helping mature a recently delivered Azure landing zone; as the end client - a leading financial services organisation - starts to move applications into production within their Azure environment. This involves identifying processes and ways of working that can help mature the space, upskilling the wider team around cloud engineering, providing support to the operation and providing an input around architecture.
