SC Cleared Senior Software Engineer -Infrastructure Scripting, VMWare, AD, JavaScript, Python, Bash, Perl, .NET, PowerShell
Our global technology services client is seeking a hands on infrastructure Scripting specialist to join a team delivering solutions for an important end-customer in the public sector.
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3-6 months (initially)
Location: Remote with visits to London or Birmingham.
Security Clearance: Must have active Security Clearance.
Essential Skills:
- 5+ years of VMware vRealize/vCenter Orchestration hands on experience.
- Must have experience in large, highly available enterprise level virtualized environments
- Providing customer guidance by facilitating technical workshops, creation of low-level designs and implementation of use cases into high-quality solutions
- VCP- Cloud Management and Automation certification is Mandatory
- Primary skill of JavaScript/Python/Bash/Perl Scripting/programming
- Windows and Linux Operating system internals
- Web services: REST, SOAP
- API based coding and Scripting (HTTP/REST/SOAP/)
- Good hands on experience in IT automation and programming.
- Knowledge of .NET and Microsoft Scripting PowerShell/VB
- Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and System programming like Active Directory, DNS, Networking, DHCP etc.
- Knowledge of modern cloud technologies like IaaS/PaaS/SaaS etc.
- Knowledge of Database and database queries
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, and VMware.
