Job role: Contract
Location : Hague, Netherlands (Remote open for few days due to Covid)
Skills Needed
• Drive architecture design of modern big data pipelines
o Be able to propose new big data solutions and to assess, understand and improve existing ones
o Be able to design future proof solutions within the AWS landscape
o Understanding of lambda architectures
o Experience with real-time data flows and data streaming
o Ability to evaluate and design loosely coupled systems
• Be able to build robust and scalable data pipelines in AWS
o Leverage Data Integration/ETL tools, in particular AWS Glue
o Be able to write senior level Python and Pyspark code
o Experience with distributed computing and parallelized processing, in particular with Spark
o Understanding of Scala
• Experience in handling big data and related technologies and methodologies
o Strong experience with the following AWS Services: S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, EMR, Kinesis
o Experience with open source tools for workflow management and source ingestion: Apache Airflow, Apache NiFi
• Experience with Data Science tools and workflows (like DataBricks, Rapidminer, DataIku)
• Experience working with DevOps practices
• Experience using, designing and developing APIs and in particular creating REST APIs using AWS services
o Knowledge of Node.js
o Experience with AWS Lambda
o Experience with AWS API Gateway
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices (coding standards, code reviews, source management, automated testing, TDD, ATDD, BDD)
• Able to independently organize and document decisions, solutions and issues
o RDS - Aurora
o Serverless
o EC2
o API Gateway
o Lambda
o VPC
o CICD Pipeline (Git, Jenkins, Bash Scripting, Groovy and Ansible)
o SQL
o Stored Procedures
• Softskills/Mindset
o Ability to coach and mentor junior colleagues
