Description
My client are a prestigious government organisation based in Newport, South Wales. They are seeking a Product Manager for a 12 month contract (outside IR35) to define and scope their product and engage their multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders in the development of their product.
The role is currently home based for the foreseeable.
TYPICAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Agile working - Expert in agile methodology and user needs. Applies the agile mindset to all aspects of their work. Experience of a fast paced, evolving environment and utilises an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery. Unafraid to take risks - learns from mistakes.
- Product Ownership - Expert at a range of product management principles, approaches and stakeholder engagement. Captures and translates user needs into business valuedeliverables. Able to define the minimum viable product and make decisions about priorities. Writes stories and acceptance criteria.
- Able to get buy-in from the organisation. Able to work with scant information and to articulate that in abstract terms. Able to come up with a strategy.
- Expert and understand users and can identify who they are and what their needs are based on evidence.
- Lifecycle - Able to successfully support teams through the full product life cycle. Able to identify which tools and techniques should be used at each stage.
- Operations/Problems - Knows how to make operations efficient. Is the escalation point for major operational issues and champions operational management across the community.
