Futureheads are partnered with a home design business who are looking to grow their digital presence and build a new system for customers to book through. There are several stages to creating this application and certain specific functionality we are looking to include in the build. This is expected to be a 12 month programme of work for two JavaScript Engineers to build from scratch.
With this hire we are looking for a Back End end leaning full stack JavaScript developer who has strong commercial experience with Node.js and MongoDB. This positions requires someone comfortable owning the Back End side of a build, but also supporting a Front End focused engineer where required. We are comfortable for this role to be done remotely, with good communication channels and best practices set up from the offset.
This will be an initial six month contract with a view to extending for the second half or beyond as required. We are looking to interview over the next week and have the appropriate candidates for both roles hired and ready to start in mid-end of November. UK based applicants only.
To be considered for this role you will need to display the following:
- Strong hands on development experience with JavaScript
- Extensive commercial experience building Back End applications using Node.js
- Good commercial understanding of MongoDB
- Full stack experience with React
- Strong TDD and BDD principles
- Comfortable setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of cloud computing
- Excellent communication skills
