x2 Data Management Analyst- Initial 6-month contract- Remote working (UK Based)

I am currently working with a UK based comparison site who are on the lookout for 2 Data Management Analysts to join their team for an initial 6-month contract.

This will be remote working position, but you must be open to travelling to their offices in London and Peterborough.

Role
To be a key member of our Next Generation Data Platform Project, Ensuring the data that is migrated is understood, meets expected standards and any exceptions are accepted and sign off. You will be a data SME used to working on fast paced, high profile projects. Key tasks will be focused on creating and documenting data standards using our defined template. Drawing on your previous experience, you will be interpreting the data and collaborating with the Business SME to complete the data standard templates. You will also be analysing the exceptions results, again working with the Business SME to agree cost benefit trade-offs on data issues and make recommendations on the feasibility of fixing the data or determining workable exceptions to be presented to the decision making authority. You will also be making recommendations for prioritization of fixes. Ultimately, you will be key contributor to the recommendation that the data is of acceptable quality to migrate and highlight areas of risk.

Main responsibilities
*Collaborate with the business and data SME to define and document common data standards & definitions on set templates.
*Key contributor to Standards Working group, facilitating sign off standards & exceptions Investigate areas of non-conformance to set standards & work with Business SME to determine cost benefit trade-offs on data issues and make recommendation on resolution or sign off.
*Ensure all data to be migrated either meets our standards or has a signed off exception
*Collaborate and assess changes in data requirements, updating relevant documentation as required
*Work closely with engineers & other project team roles to ensure the project meets its milestones.

Customers & Key Stakeholders
*Works with business & IT stakeholders to define Data Standards.
*Creates and maintains strong relationships across the project team roles
*Collaborate with Data SME & Business to resolve non-compliance to standards
*Provide assurance to DG that no data related risk is being incurred through the data migration

Skills & Experience

Must have:
*Solid grasp of data standards, analysing & interpreting exceptions
*Experience in data transformation across multiple dependent datasets
*Strong communicator, experienced in facilitating prioritization decisions

Preferred:
*Exposure to Agile methodology, SPLUNK, AWS, Change Management Programs, Git-hub, Tag Management, JIRA
*Experience working in remote teams & use of communication tools IE SLACK, Teams, Confluence
*Experience in a maturing DG Function
*Experience working in hybrid business/IT environment
*Awareness for industry frameworks DAMA, ISO8000
