Description

A leading Financial Software Company based in London are seeking an International DesignOps Manager to join their team on a contract basis for 12 months.

As a detail oriented and strategic thinker, you will be working with the DesignOps lead and support ongoing initiatives, drive and own specific initiatives that will increase operational efficiency's across all teams in the International Design teams' portfolio.

This is an international role with a global impact working with design teams in EMEA, LATAM, and APAC: for this reason, some flexibility over working hours, based on priorities and projects, is required.

Duties:

  • Lead one-off unique initiatives involving deep cross-functional and cross-geo partnership
  • Evaluate how work flows through Design functions & cross-functional partners
  • Identify opportunities that include both quick wins and systemic change
  • Enable the company to increase the quality & efficiency of Design output through optimised tools, aligned processes, and methodologies
  • Support and coordinateDesignTeams' reach & impact by implementing processes that:
    • Enable ICs to focus on the work that better serves our customers
    • Quantify operational improvements in measurable terms

Skills and experience:

  • 6+ years in Design Operations or similar Program Management or operations roles, with additional experience working with cross-functional Design teams
  • Deep knowledge of design principles and methods
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and how to amplify them through operational excellence
  • Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results
  • Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator
  • Expertise delivering Design initiatives that impact on operational and/or spending efficiency's on time and on budget with measurable and quantifiable metrics
  • Knowledgeable with key design and user research tools, methods, and processes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Have proven experience working with Designers and design teams
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams is a plus
