Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a Cloud Infrastructure Lead for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of c.£/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will remote based for the foreseeable future. Candidates must already have a basic disclosure or be willing to apply for one prior to interview.Responsibilities:
Automate the deployment of new components in an Azure/on-premise hybrid environment
Administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the Azure and on-premise Infrastructure
Contribute to and implement architectural designs in Azure and on-premise infrastructure (both Linux and Windows)
Mentor staff and produce documentation/walkthroughs for frequently repeated tasks
Essential Skills:
Demonstrable experience in Infrastructure Automation using ARM templates, PowerShell & Terraform
Azure AD and identity administration experience
Proven experience administering infrastructure in an environment where data security is paramount
At least 5 years IT Infrastructure experience across a wide range of technologies
Self-motivated. Ability to work from home with a proactive approach to problem solving
Willingness to learn new skills and technologies as required for in-flight and new projects
Desirable Skills:
Staff mentoring experience
Experience and understanding of Microsoft technologies; eg Active Directory, Windows Server, SCCM, SQL Server, IIS, and web hosting
Experience working within and configuring PIM/PAM technologies in Azure/on-premise
Linux system administration RHEL/Centos - Ansible & Satellite
LAN/WAN Networking, Firewalling, load-balancing knowledge (F5, CCNA, CCNA Security, CCNP)
VMware ESXi and SRM configuration and administration
SAN technologies
Scripting skills - Bash, Python, PowerShell
Existing BPSS clearance
