Enterprise Design Architect - Government - London/Home based - 6 months + SC cleared

The role is deemed inside IR35

A law enforcement organisation are looking for an experienced design architect to join them on a 6 month contract and Work from home, with ad-hoc requirement to attend central London for up to two consecutive days per week.

You will work within a high profile programme and actively own and develop business design and target operating models to support a number of key programme activities, to deliver over the next 6 months, including but not limited to:

*UK Financial Investigation Unit (UKFIU) structure and operating model reorganisation and development.
*Design and implement business architecture solutions that align to the organisation architectural principles and standards.
*Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the critical views across the SARs Programme.
*Define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organisational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as bulk reporters, LEAs, and external systems that interact with the UKFIU business; and describe which people, resources, and controls are involved in the processes.
*Assist in the creation of a governance model to ensure that business elements of projects, solutions and architectures conform to defined government agency architectural principles and practices.
*Deliver end to end business architecture that adheres to the Target Operating Model (TOM)
*Represent the organisations Enterprise Design Authority (EDA) as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in relation to business architecture, and support wider programmes and projects;
*Deliver high-quality artefacts and documentation to support the government agency design governance using System Design Reviews (SDR) aligned to the EASE (Enterprise Architecture System Engineering) framework.
*Submission of updates to the EDA leadership team via standard reporting mechanisms.

Knowledge:

*Ability to write business architectural and operational design documents, or review design documents provided by others.
*Must have a thorough knowledge of the business architecture concepts, business analysis concepts, systems analysis and design concepts working within waterfall/agile/devops working culture.
*Experience within Secure Government organisations as a business architect or senior business analyst.
*Experience in business architecture designing within financial orientated business units and/or regulated markets, with appreciation of IT cloud-delivery environments.
*Excellent understanding of Government Security processes and procedures.

SC enhanced clearance will be required in order to start in this position
