My global research client is looking for a Semantic Data Engineer to join their team based in Prague on a 12- month+ contract must be local or willing to relocate.
Semantic Data Engineer Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the project solution in the areas of ontology engineering, semantic data modelling/data pipeline development.
- Learn and apply new industry standards for scientific data management.
- Develop proof-of-concept prototypes that demonstrate measurable improvements as well as turn these prototypes into production services.
- Maintain and document code and algorithms in appropriate repositories.
- Adhere to DevOps best practices and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes. Requirements
- Hands-on experience with relational, graph, or RDF (Resource Description Framework) databases.
- Ability to perform basic data processing tasks to manipulate/transform/merge data.
- Proven experience with data modelling.
- Fluency in SQL & hands-on experience with DevOps tools and culture.
- Some experience with Semantic web technologies, linked data, and related standards.
- Working experience with ontology engineering, semantic data modelling, SPARQL and SHACL languages AWS (Amazon web services) stack would useful
- Fluent in English (spoken & written)
