Infrastructure Architect Cloud/on prem/integration
The Job
Working as an Infrastructure Architect for a financial service company you will be helping this business migrate from multiple on prem solutions (IBM mainframe, DB2, zOS, Oracle, SQL Server, Data warehousing SOA, ESB etc) to be hosted on the Azure cloud. This will enable the business that is the middle of a merger to move 3 million customers on to the platforms of new business.
Your role in this will be to provide hands on infrastructure architecture and design services to the business unit in a dynamic change environment. By working with other Architects and the Enterprise architects you will ensure that you are delivering a simplification of the IT architecture, reducing overall costs and driving business value. This is achieved by building robust innovative architectures.
You will be central to the conception, planning and design of the infrastructure integration with the new target infrastructure, building a repository for the division and ensuring that your solutions are capable of meeting future strategic objectives.
To be considered for this job you need to have extensive infrastructure architecture experience (virtulisation, security, cloud, ITIL, Data, AI, RedHat) and be comfortable with a broad technical environment. You will have strong cloud experience and have integrated two large infrastructure estates together before. You must also be a great communicator and be able to work with multiple architects in an environment where change is inevitable. You will probably be TOGAF accredited and have experience as an infrastructure architect in a Financial services/highly regulated business .

The money and duration
Target £600 per day and 6 months (initially) If you require more money then please let s talk.
Location
Midlands is the base location, you will be based from home initially for obvious reasons.
