Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Python Dev with great technical knowledge of Machine learning and GCP for a large Financial Services company. The first initial contract will be for 6 months and the selected candidate is expected to work on location in Amsterdam.
Please find the job spec belowYou are an ambitious, enthusiastic data engineer. You enjoy designing, developing, testing and maintaining complex data-driven systems. You have worked with low-latency distributed systems before, or you have read about them and tried some things out for yourself. You have strong experience with GCP Infrastructure.
You are a good programmer with a strong theoretical basis; nobody has to explain you the details of KISS, DRY, YAGNI and the GoF OOP design patterns. You have some experience in functional programming and know its core principles. You are able to write clean, correct, efficient and maintainable code.
Skill setSenior skills and experience with Python software development Senior software engineering skills and understanding of version control Comfortable with all the UNIX-like tooling, bash scripts etc.
Good understanding of Machine Learning
Certified with GCP or equivalent experience with it Familiar/experienced with the Hadoop paradigm and Spark Familiar/experienced with CI/CD pipelines (such as airflow etc.)
