Senior UI UX Engineer (Remote work)
Our client, a global supplier for IT services, requires an experienced Senior UI UX Engineer, to join their team based in their clients' office in Stockley Park, London but you can work remotely. This is a 6 months temporary contract, to start ASAP
The right candidate should have many years of hands on development experience and should have experience in developing Front End architecture application/portal to be used by Supplier & Head office from UX perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
Able to contribute to projects within the API team, and the critical path of developmentCollaborate with the rest of the technology, product and design team to deliver features that add valueWork to define development standards and ensure they are upheldContribute to continual improvement of standards and development practicesSupport the teams QA responsibility, through PR review's, automated and manual testingDeployment, manage roll back procedures and oversee deploymentPair and work collaboratively with othersProvide technical guidance & mentoring to product teams during Sprint/development.Derive outcome with a team of 3 to 4 membersKey Skills/Knowledge:
Proficiency with fundamental Front End languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScriptHands-on experience in user research, usability testing methods and approachesConducting workshop, converting user interest into wireframes, creating user personas, information architecturePrototyping user testing, participate in A-B testing & support engineering team onshore/offshoreknowledge of design thinking principles and attributes, user interface design principles, user centred design processes, interaction designExperience in best digital tools (like - Balsamiq, Axure, Sketch, Visual Design & Multimedia-Adobe CS)Adaptability, communication, problem solving & experience in serviceWritten tests in TDD/BDD fashion with unit test (JUnit), Integration test, Acceptance test and Contract testingNegotiating, client facing, communication, assertive, team leading/team member skills, supportiveDesirable:
Hands-on experience in application development using latest technologies such as JEE, Java 8+, Microservices, Springboot frameworkA proven track record in building APIs with REST/SOAPPractical experience of best coding/design practices and patterns, optimizations, scaling and clustering and deployment in any Cloud platforms using CI/CD tools such as Concourse/JenkinsOverall 10+ years of experience in Web Application Development
