Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, are currently looking to recruit a Programme Manager for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £/day (inside of IR35). This role will be remote based initially.The Role:
Day to day running of programmes of work. Specifically managing the transition of one Programme in to business as usual' and the running of the Transformation Programme.
Running programmes on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the programme directors and SROs.
Management and coordination of programme workstreams and chairing of meetings.
Management and coordination of the PMO function.
Responsibility for programme governance and assurance activities including finance, risks and benefits.
Planning and designing whole programmes or programme phases and monitoring their overall progress and milestones.
Understanding, managing and communicating between stakeholder groups, balancing priorities.
Requirements:
Strong track record of successful delivery of large scale digital/IT and/or business change programmes
Track record of effective programme management including financial, risk, benefits, resourcing and communication management in large scale digital/IT and/or business change programmes
Experience in systems development life cycle from discovery through to service operation and successful service implementation
Ability to develop excellent relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholders and technical experts
Certified MSP Practitioner
Desirable Skills:
Prior experience of the Scottish education sector
Prior experience of programme management and delivery within the Scottish public sector
Experience of the Digital Scotland Service Standard (previously Digital First) and/or the Scottish Approach to Service Design
PRINCE2 Practitioner certification
TOGAF certification
