Harvey Nash are now recruiting for a User Researcher for a nine month contract, outside of IR35 at a daily rate of £350 - £450 a day, for a public sector organisation in Scotland, remote work available during Covid. Candidates must have a Disclosure Scotland certificate at application stage.
Assignment
- Working for a public sector organisation involved in Education for Scotland, the role of User Researcher sits within our clients Digital Directorate working on a Transformation Programme for the redevelopment of a future Business Model and will include:
- Research options for the implementation of our clients future business model, assessing the impact of these options on business service provision, staff, customers and finances.
- To plan and deliver the actions required to transition to the future business model
- Initial focus on improvements to handling and assessment of applications for funding support, applying digital public service design principles
The role of User Researcher will lead and guide User Research activity for this work stream of the programme, ensuring that user centred design is at the very core of our clients services and using data and evidence from service users to explore problems and opportunities, both within Digital delivery and wider process and service improvement.
Essential Skills
- Research Skills: Extensive field experience in undertaking high quality research
- Inclusive Research: Must have deep knowledge and understanding of inclusive and ethical research methods.
- Analysis and Synthesis: Expert in objective validation and sense making of data to elicit reliable findings and insight
- Strategic insight: Proven ability to work within strategic context and align effort towards overarching corporate goals
- Technical understanding: Must have a sound understanding of technology landscape and familiar with common digital and IT tools.
- User Centred and Agile Delivery: Must have proven experience and expertise in both User Centred design and Agile methodology
