Description

We are currently working with an NHS Trust who are seeking a Senior Technical Architect to work in their Integration team.

This is a contract role and you will primarily support their RIS and PACS implementation which will include a HL7 interface development for Cerner Millennium and the testing and support of this.

There will also be a requirement to support downstream systems and resolve BAU interface issues. The position is required for the next 6 months with an option to extend to 1 year. You must have worked with clinical systems previously.

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage clinical applications in use.
  • To ensure effective monitoring is in place and to appropriately respond to operational issues.
  • To manage the implementation of configuration changes to clinical applications.
  • To manage the prioritisation of the delivery of configuration changes.
  • To provide operational support and subject matter expertise as required.
  • To provide solution functionality and integration expertise to Trust engagement teams, including, but not limited to, domain strategy, regulatory, code/package management, optimization & standards.
  • To provide technical support for custom development, user defined functions, interfaces, reports, extracts, data migration scripts and conversions.
  • To be proficient in the tools supporting implementation and on-going maintenance and additional technologies that support methodology as required.
  • To provide 3rd line technical support for troubleshooting and performance analysis.
  • To define, monitor and report on SLA performance and work with vendors to ensure SLAs are adhered to.
  • To advise and assist Project Managers during project implementations.

Experience Required

  • 4-7 years' experience in healthcare computing, including 1-3 years of managing enterprise wide clinical systems.
  • Has participated in multiple phases of an integrated health system implementation; ideally this is at more than one site and more than 1 venue; however, a single client setting will meet this requirement.
  • Has previously engaged successfully in multiple implementation cycles.
  • Experience of the Support, Management, Configuration & Build of Cerner Millennium
  • In-depth knowledge of Build & Configuration of Cerner Millennium including the use of DCWs.
  • Has strong supplier facing presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Executes key responsibilities with minimal oversight.
