Python Developer - Banking/Investment Banking - Python, Jira, Bitbucket
Senior Python Developer with strong skills in Python, SQL and Rest API's is required to join an Agile development team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Act as a Python subject matter expert/Technical advocate to the wider team
- Apply Best Practice for Python to the development process.
Essential Skills:
- In depth knowledge of Python web development with experience on large scale web applications and in RESTful Server Development
- Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, Servers, and environments
- Strong SQL
- Experience of writing Python tests using automated tasks, and enforcing code quality eg pytest, pylint, unittest
- Proficiency with SDLC tools (eg Confluence, JIRA, BitBucket, SourceTree)
- Experience of integrating open source Python libraries eg pandas, holidays
Preferred Skills
- TDD or BDD
- Java development experience
- Knowledge of JavaScript React/Redux frameworks
- Machine learning with Python
- NoSQL database development (eg MongoDB, Cassandra, Zen, Elastic stack)
- Hands-on experience of building and deploying Microservices within an enterprise environment
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Splunk, SaaS applications, etc
