Description

A market-leading Financial Services Organisation is looking for a talented and hands-on Business Analyst to deliver an application upgrade within their Data Warehouse to the Microsoft Azure Data Platform, ensuring data is migrated successfully and operational processes are in place.

This is a great assignment for anybody who wants to play a key part in executing the digital transformation strategy.

To successfully deliver this high-profile business transformation programme you will need to have:

  • Considerable experience providing requirements for a Data Warehouse previously and in delivering business systems/cloud migration projects, involving migration of data, ideally within a financial services or a professional services organisation.
  • Extensive business analysis and data analysis experience.
  • A high level of process documentation, gap analysis and workflow mapping experience with the ability to adopt a consultative approach with stakeholders.
  • Experience of gathering requirements from various stakeholders to ensure fit, work on operational aspects of workstreams such as system interfaces/integration, security model, implementation and automation functionalities.
  • Ability to gain process sign-off with key stakeholders within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both in written and Oral English.

A little more information about the role - you will:

  • Play a key role as part of a project team working to tight timescales as they look to deliver Casework, Finance and HR data into the EDW so it can be reported on using Power BI.
  • Understand what reporting is required by the business in order to ascertain what fields are required from which source system.
  • Provide the right level of documentation required.
  • Liaise and work closely with the chosen supplier so they can develop the EDW.
  • Be involved in the tender process to choose a supplier to support the system following go-live.
  • Understand business change needs, assessing the impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Produce succinct, professional and meaningful reports and documentation to Senior Stakeholders in order for them to make client decisions in a timely manner.
  • Have excellent written and verbal skills as you will need to work with and explain to an external supplier, IT colleagues, internal customers and Microsoft.
