Senior Python Engineer - Commodities Trading - 6 months Contract
I'm looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join a Hedge Fund in London on a contract basis. Remote on-boarding so you can start working from the comfort of your own home.
This role will support traders and analysts by providing data gathering and manipulation tools, and developing models to facilitate supply/demand and price forecasting. The Senior Python developer will be used to working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where client needs will be changing on a frequent basis. The ideal Python engineer will have a flexible mind-set and a strong track record working within a trading environment.
For this position, the Python Engineer will have trading experience in order to be considered for this role. This role will be an application developer tasked to deliver tools and applications for use directly on the trading desk. It will involve developing tools directly on top of and within an Azure cloud platform. This is a collaborative environment and a chance to join a small dynamic team. Hands on development, working alongside strong python developers and traders.
Key Skills and Experience required for this python developer:
* Python (Advanced programming skills)
* Front to Back Office trading knowledge
* Strong statistical/mathematical skills
* Has built low latency solutions for data acquisition and/or trading
* Azure
