DevOps Engineer - CI Specialist - Media
We're currently seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with experience of building pipelines for cloud-based mobile applications. This is with our digital product consultancy client delivering a project for a well-renowned media company.
You'll have a specialism in continuous integration (CI) and build pipeline technologies but use much broader technical experience to help steer your project team towards increased levels of productivity. You will help define how one of the world's most respected media organisations use technology to deliver value through their mobile apps to their customers. You'll share your passion and experience with those around you, allowing and encouraging your less experienced teammates to step up.
The type of person we would love to meet:
You will have:
- Commercial experience setting up build pipelines using cloud-based services to build mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms (CircleCI preferred).
- Experience optimising existing CI processes for greater speed and resiliency.
- Knowledge of tooling for cross-platform mobile app codebases (eg React Native) is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, and experience working in customer-facing roles.
- The ability to work as part of a cross functional team of Developers, QA Engineers, Architects and Management to achieve the team's goals.
- An ability to write clean, well-tested code which is designed for long-term maintainability, rather than hack together in short-lived scripts.
- You have extensive experience working with source control, git workflows, package managers and testing frameworks.
- We'd like it if you can demonstrate past experience integrating cloud-based products into your CI/CD, eg for the purposes of automation testing or workflow status communications.
- A passion for mentoring and developing others, with a servant leadership approach.
- A thorough understanding of Agile and DevOps principles, and prior experience helping organisations apply them.
- You are comfortable reviewing other people's work and suggesting improvements.
