Data Engineer - Customer Data Science Team
6 month contract
Up to £500 per day inside IR35 from April
London/Remote
Leading Financial Services organisation are looking to recruit an experienced Data Engineer to join their Customer Data Science team. The role will focus on developing and productionising data products that drive personalised customer experience at scale
Role:
- Empowering Customer Science by owning data optimisation, deployment and end-to-end pipelines
- Creating production-grade code, documentation and monitoring
- Collaborating with colleagues to identify and drive opportunities with new data, new technology and new processes
- Developing a deep understanding of the Company's data estate
- Supporting Customer Science with analytics support
Skills/Experience:
- Strong programming expertise in SQL and Python (PySpark or Scala a plus).
- Experience of working with big datasets (eg clickstream) and building data pipelines using Spark.
- Strong working knowledge of Git-based code version control and CI/CD principles (Jenkins experience a plus).
- Be highly numerate with good working knowledge in statistics, machine learning, analytics or similar.
- Enjoy communicating and collaborating with others to deliver brilliant, high-impact work.
- Be able to communicate complex technical concepts to specialist and non-specialist audiences.
"Nice to have" technical skills:
- Experience of; productionising Machine Learning applications/data-related services in AWS/Informatica
