We have an job opening for ServiceNow Consultant with our client and the details are as below:

Job Type: Contract (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months Extendable
Work Location: Cheshire, UK

Job Purpose and primary objectives: The ServiceNow Senior Developer is responsible to design and development/implementation of ServiceNow's solutions and provide technical & architectural guidance to high performing peers. This role will work with the IT Service Management leadership, IT service owners, process owners and various service delivery groups to develop technical solutions that satisfy the business needs of the bank to a high quality.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide architectural and design oversight to ensure all solutions are fit for purpose and use.
  • Design/Build technical solutions based on client's needs and process requirements
  • Deliver solutions using Agile software development processes
  • Understand the current as is processes and deliver toolset changes based on upcoming process changes
  • Customisation or development of enhancement requests for existing ITSM/ITOM tools and processes
  • Take care of end-to-end development activities for a specific enhancement or project as an individual contributor
  • Work closely with BA's, Architects, Testing team and process teams
  • Identify areas of process and tooling improvement and provide solutions to ensure tool is protected in process, security and performance aspects
  • Ensure gaps are clearly identified and reported to BA/stake holders
  • Produce design documents where-ever necessary
  • Work closely with vendor resources to meet development deadlines in case of larger projects
  • Take respective ownership as an individual contributor throughout the project life cycle
  • Take respective ownership of preparation of release plan
  • Involve in Proof-of-concept activities and provide best possible solution to customers/stake holders
  • Ongoing involvement in continuous improvement of toolset
  • Follow continuous improvement best practices by identifying and diagnosing improvement opportunities

Key Skills/Knowledge:

Business Knowledge:
Has good general knowledge with some detailed knowledge of products/functions outside of day-to-day area supported:
Can engage with stakeholders of relevant business areas
Demonstrates a good end to end understanding of the systems processing for the business area & relationships
Exposure to the follow key modules in ServiceNow is required:
Incident/Problem/Change
CMDB
Discovery
Orchestration (Preferable, not essential)
Knowledge
Service (Request) Catalog
Demonstrable experience in following Technical concepts of ServiceNow is MUST
ServiceNow web services and APIs
Expert in JavaScript
Workflow Configuration
Working knowledge of relational databases
Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.)
Working experience in ServiceNow Discovery (Preferable, not essential)
Ability to interface and develop with Java/J2EE Back End technologies
Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, SSO
Working knowledge of web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3)

Experienced with preparing detail-level documentation of functional and non-Functional requirements

In-depth knowledge of available graphical tools, techniques and interfaces (ie Visio, PowerPoint)
Experience in evaluating document effectiveness (accuracy, themes, readability, visual impact)
