Applications Manager
Wrexham (Initially remote working)
6 - 9 months Contract
£ Day Rate (Inside IR35)
We are working with a leading public sector organization in Wrexham who are seeking an experienced Applications Manager to join their team on a digital strategy project.
The Applications Manager's will be:
*To work with the Director of Information Services to deliver an organisation wide Digital Strategy.
*To ensure business applications and software solutions are supported and maintained to support and enhance business activities
*To contribute directly to project delivery in a technical capacity advising on most appropriate use of business applications and software solutions and identifying new solutions where appropriate.
*To develop and maintain appropriate technical/operational standards and quality assurance processes for monitoring team output and ensuring delivery of tasks to agreed standards and within deadlines and budgets.
*To work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that internal systems are integrated to maximise flexibility and efficiency.
*To provide overall line management, leadership and focus for 3 analyst programmers and ensure these staff have a supportive and enabling environment in which they can work effectively whilst achieving a high degree of job satisfaction.
The successful Applications Manager must possess:
*Strong experience working around business and software applications
*Knowledge and understanding of SQL Server, C#, PHP, ASP, .NET, MS Visual Basic, JavaScript.
*Public sector experience is ideal
*Senior experience in leading a team
Location: Remote working with the flexibility to work onsite in future
Please note, the role is inside IR35 so the appointed Applications Manager will be required to work via an FCSA accredited Umbrella Company.
