Purchasing and Supply Continuity Specialist Contract Remote 6months
We are currently looking for a Purchasing and Supply Continuity Specialist for one our major clients on a remote basis. The Purchasing and Supply Continuity Specialist will work for the electrical, fluid and air team liaising with suppliers across the EMEA region.
The successful Purchasing and Supply Continuity Specialist will have a strong understanding of overall purchasing and supply chain and procure specialized items and execute complex buying strategies.
The Purchasing and Supply Continuity Specialist will have the following experience:
* Reactive Capacity Management
* Issue resolution, Allocation management, cost recovery
* Proactive Capacity Management
* Understand supplier processes, Implementing Material agreements, Supplier visits
* Supplier Development
* Long term supplier support, drive operational excellence within allocated suppliers, measure performance against contracted deliverables.
The Purchasing and Supply Continuity Specialist will have the following skill set:
* Procures inventory, supplies, capital goods and arranges timely deliveries.
* Analyzes purchasing initiatives and processes in support of the delivery of cost effective high quality goods
* Prepares and presents recommendations of improvement opportunities and alternative courses of action to senior purchasing/sourcing leadership.
* Evaluates consistent application of sourcing procedures and processes.
* Supports purchasing/sourcing management in activities such as vendor management, industry and market analysis, process analysis, and model building.
* Leads analysis projects/initiatives providing coaching to less experienced analysts.
* Develop effective relationships with vendors and suppliers favourable for company business. May manage capacity, delivery and issue resolution projects.
* Management and execution of engineering releases.
