Description:
Advantage Resourcing are working with a Global defense engineering business at their offices in Yeovil. We have an opportunity on the Information Management and Technology (IM&T) side of the business for a System Analyst working on application support and IT infrastructure projects.
Core duties:
. Administration of Multiple Cloud platforms. Event, Security, Availability, Capacity Management.
. Providing run and maintain activities on an Azure Platform
. Providing Subject matter expertise for Azure related business needs
. Providing run and maintain activities on Hyper Converge Infrastructure Platform, including VMware activities.
. Day to day support of IM&T Infrastructure - systems & Applications
. Establish and maintain systems configuration item (CI) baselines in alignment with the DI Service Management Configuration Management Plan.
. Technical expertise on IM&T System Administration and supporting application layers
. Review and approve solutions including all documentation within own limits of authority, or seek higher level of approval, where required
. Assist in development of processes to ensure discipline technical quality is communicated across all discipline levels of IM&T engineers.
Your skills and qualifications:
* Experience and Understanding of ITIL framework
* Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform.
* Knowledge of Hyper Converge Infrastructure maintenance.
* Excellent knowledge of VMWare technologies.
* Knowledge and understanding of supporting applications based on Windows infrastructure components, including VMWare
* Knowledge of Installation and patching of core environments and software solutions
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with Stakeholders at all levels
Desirable:
JIRA, Kubernetes, Nagios, Tomcat, Apache
