An exciting opportunity for an accomplished Scala Developer to work for our Market Leading Banking client in London has been released - You will be experienced with Scala, Spark & HDFS!
Location: London (with some home working)
Duration: 6 months minimum
Rate: Strong UMBRELLA rate
Responsibility:
- Maintain existing components and develop new features.
- Work with other developers to determine best solution.
- Work with Run team to support release of new versions
Skills:
- Proven experience with Scala is important, ideally in a corporate or banking environment.
- Good understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structure, design patterns.
- Good understanding of multi-threaded programming and distributed computing.
- Good understanding of application life cycle, DevOps practices, CI/CD.
- Good approach to writing unit and integration tests.
- Ability to spot issues in code and help fix them.
- At least a basic understanding of Kafka
Brief Project Details:
This role is to work alongside 2 development teams to help with the integration of Azure, the Scala Developer will be responsible for development and testing.
