Description

The role is responsible for the development and full implementation of the FotC communications approach to drive employee awareness, understanding and alignment with the priorities for the Global Finance function.

  • The role holder will be assigned to support the Finance transformation communications for the function, reporting into the Finance on the Cloud, People, Culture, Communications and Training Workstream Lead.
  • The role has wide scope and contains a strong component of independent action and initiative development and working in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • The role operates within a function and across a complex and Matrix structure, primarily within the senior management team, but also with other senior executives in Finance, Communications and HR.
  • The role often operates under pressure when dealing with potentially complex situations across Finance.
  • Develop and drive communications strategy for FotC, ensuring the effective delivery of the global plan and supporting local activities
  • Manage internal communications, campaigns, channels and progress stories, etc, including ensuring important transformation projects and information is communicated to all employees to support effective and successful change
  • Create compelling content and messages using story-telling to engage employees about the progress and priorities of the transformation, aligned to the function and organisation's purpose, strategies and values
  • Source and provide relevant progress stories to feed both global and local, transformation channels
  • Equip people managers with briefings and materials as required to support the key programme milestones and to support them in mobilising employees
  • Communicate major change initiatives within the function, working in collaboration with the relevant project teams, and other regional and country communications colleagues, as/where relevant
  • Consider the external implications of implementing any employee communications plans associated with FotC, collaborate with HR and Director of Communications for Finance on external messages to mitigate reputational risks

A proven track record in developing, managing and implementing employee transformation or change communications and plans translating into solid and practical delivery programmes
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with senior executives across regional/global geographies
* A strong team player who can work collaboratively with peers, programme teams and others
* Excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience in strategic communications planning
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Strong knowledge of change communication trends and best practice
* Broad knowledge of Finance and financial services an advantage
* Experience in handling people change and crisis communications related to business transformation
