Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a M365 Modern Workplace Specialist for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £400-£415/day (outside of IR35). Responsibilities:
Hunt out new Modern Workplace opportunities (teamwork, collaboration, insights, remote working, security, compliance, meeting and calling) within the organisation by identifying and engaging with key business and technical contacts, understanding customers' business and technology priorities, governance requirements, and processes. For example, enabling a unified search experience across all our systems.
Take identified business and technology challenges and work with stakeholders sell the solution - enabling them to understand the value of implementing a Modern Workplace solution.
Work with the EE product owner, technical architect, and SMEs to prioritise, design, build, and implement solutions using the M365 stack (and complimentary technologies where appropriate such as ServiceNow and AWS) to solve identified business challenges.

Make improvements to the organisation's corporate systems that contribute to the EE vision of empowering and enabling staff to do their job without dependency on IT colleagues
Identify areas of overlap between M365 and Legacy products in use at the organisation (eg Egress, Intranet). Architect and implement solutions which provide a better and more flexible user experience whilst simultaneously lowering operational costs and complexity.
To provide technical input, advice, and mentoring to the Employee Enablement team, ensuring alignment with broader strategic architectural direction.
Act as a conduit between Employee Enablement governance groups such as Architecture Steering Group and the Design Authority.
Help define and refine best practices, standards and architectural principles
