Infrastructure Engineer, Security, Azure, Outside IR35

6 month initial contract

London, City

To £550 day rate

Azure, AD, VMWARE, O365, Exchange

Technical Security Consultant is required by a highly buoyant Global Insurance organisation in their London office (currently remote). You will join the IT Security and Governance team. This role forms part of a Global IT Cyber Security Programme that is responsible for the continued information security and cyber risk management.

The role entails providing technical support to remediate security vulnerabilities found during the global cyber assessments.

Key requirements:

  • Experience working with cloud technologies (Azure)
  • Experience managing multiple Active Directory domains
  • Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, switching & routing)
  • Experience with Virtualisation technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V)
  • Understanding of Secure Configuration & Hardening standards
  • Experience supporting Exchange & O365 (migration experience preferable)
  • Experience supporting Windows Server & Desktop
  • Understanding of Change Control concepts
  • Experience with a variety of infrastructure technologies (Server, Storage, Switches, UPS)
  • Strong technical skills required to understand vulnerabilities in detail and how to resolve them.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT best practises including Security.
  • Familiarity with security standards such as ISO 27001.
  • Worked in a global environment and had a good awareness of regional and global implications.
  • Technical understanding of applications and how to enhance them to mitigate risks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Be highly collaborative with the current team, management structure and team at large.
  • Demonstrate a very high level of customer service and empathy to the customer issues delivering solutions while maintaining an agreed level of quality and working within budget constraints.
  • Previously worked in Financial Services or Insurance industry.
  • Excellent communication and business report writing skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and strong relationship builder.
  • Spanish is useful, but not essential
