IP Network Engineer - ACI - F5 Load Balancer - Checkpoint - Wireless Tech - Inside IR35
Square One is looking for an IP Network Engineer to join a 6-month project, initially working from home.
The successful IP Network Engineer will be responsible for the design and configuration of the clients internal IP data network, providing LAN and WAN network connectivity between the client's offices and data centres to support the clients IT systems and PC access.
Candidates must have strong commercial hands-on experience with the following:
- Hands-on experience for the BAU support.
- Cisco ACI experience
- F5 Load-balancer
- Wireless Technologies
- Checkpoint (Security) experience
Key Skills & Experience:
- Identify network connectivity options to connect services to the client's network.
- Define high and low-level IP network topology showing network Switches, Routers and Firewalls required to support connectivity within the site and to the client's core network
- Allocate switch and Router interfaces for services, allocate relevant IP Addressing and VLANs required for both WAN and LAN connectivity
- Define Firewall rules required to support connectivity
- Define configuration to be loaded onto new and existing Routers and Switches
- Provide technical knowledge to the deployment of network infrastructure, driving improved technical and service performance
- Standardise equipment to minimise disruption and achieve straightforward integration with existing networks/infrastructure
- Apply standard procedures to solve problems and identify appropriate resolution
- The Corporate IP Network Engineer will need to support the design and configuration of the clients Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
- Standard working pattern, Monday-Friday, travel occasionally as required
