- Have strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills and be naturally inquisitive, ready to offer evidence-based critical evaluation of communications activities. Possess the ability to think independently and laterally while recognising the complex world in which the organisation exists.
- Maintain and develop processes to collect and validate data. Manipulate and present the data in the form of dashboards and other outputs to turn it into meaningful information that can be used across the organisation.
- Excellent skills in problem solving and a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrate an aptitude to learn to manage data-based projects, including engaging with policy issues and proposing how data could be used to support them.
- Build and maintain statistical and machine learning models.
- Writing R packages to effectively deploy our own work and support the work of analyst colleagues.
- Build and run applications as part of a multi-functional agile delivery team.
- Write and amend refactor code to build simple programs/scripts under direction.
- Work with others to use security controls to design and build secure products. Handle information with confidentiality and integrity. Work with others to ensure compliance and information assurance.
- Participate in product support and carry out agreed infrastructure maintenance tasks. Assist in troubleshooting and identifying faults using modern tools.
- Assist in analysing, planning, forecasting, measuring, maintaining and improving all aspects of the availability of the service.
- Assist as part of a team on design components of larger systems and develop software to meet approved architectural artefacts.
