Enterprise Management Architect - 6 Month Contract - SC Cleared

Are you an SC Cleared seasoned Enterprise Architect looking for your next contract vacancy to utilise your skills in Configuration Management Systems? If so we have a great opportunity working with one of our IT Service Providers on a initial 5 month contract that would be based in Basingstoke but is remote working until further notice.

What will I be doing?

  • Define generic source code/Configuration Item management and release policy & process
  • Develop more specific processes which can be adapted to apply to projects. Processes to include (not exhaustive):
    • How a programme is broken down into components (aka subsystems)
    • How the configuration items for these components are identified and grouped
    • Identification of the generic types of configuration item
    • Identification of the appropriate version controlled repository for each type of configuration item
    • Definition of the process by which configuration items in different repositories are grouped and released in "baselines" or "component versions" including major version and patching approaches.
    • Definition, design and development of any tools, Scripting, or configuration of existing tools required to support the above processes.
    • Identification of how these processes can be integrated with a CMDB to provide a common view of code and configuration across both development and live service.
  • Work with individual programmes to rapidly migrate existing ways of working and local processes into this new process.

What experience do I need?

  • Experience of creating and implementing code and configuration item control in complex programmes which include infrastructure, COTS applications, applications development, third party applications and manual processes.
  • Process definition
  • Configuration of source management tooling
  • Application design/development of any integration code or tooling required.
  • Working collaboratively with teams to implement processes
