About the role
To assist the requirements gathering, design, development, and test of critical BW reports required by the business.
The S/4 HANA programme includes deployment of a greenfield BW4/HANA solution by Cognizant. In order to maximise the return on investment it's important that business requirements for reporting are properly captured and that critical reports required to support core business processes, including compliance with legal requirements, are in place at go-live. Data structures will change between Legacy systems and S/4, which may necessitate changes in reports even where they are effectively 'migrated' from Legacy. This role will both gather business requirements and priorities as well as operate 'hands on' to deliver and support testing of key BW reports. They will also support testing of the UK BW upgrade, which is a component of this programme.
Responsibilities:
4.1 - Work with Business Process Owners to identify requirements for BW reporting to be delivered on the greenfield BW4/HANA platform.
4.2 - Complete design deliverables and achieve signoff with the business, working with lead functional consultants as required to understand S/4 data structures.
4.3 - Complete build of BW reports, execute unit testing, SIT and support UAT.
4.4 - Maintain a clear plan of activity in the integrated plan and report progress, risks and issues regularly to the Programme Manager.
4.5- Support regression testing of the Legacy BW 7.5 upgrade for UK.
4.6- Support planning and execution of cutover and Early Life Support.
4.7- Participate in the Service Transition activity to hand over to BAU.
JOB HOLDERS SPECIFICATION:
*Certified SP Business Intelligence Consultant.
*Demonstrated strong knowledge of BW architecture, including specific experience with BW4 implementations.
*Strong communication skills - ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation
*Innovative - able to think both analytically and conceptually
*Motivated and dedicated
*Ability to prioritise own and team task
5.1 SPECIFIC SKILLS:
*Strong 'hands on' technical skills required.
*Experience working with both BW7.5 and BW4.
*Completed multiple full life cycle BW projects as a technical consultant.
5.2 EXPERIENCE:
*A minimum of 10 years technical experience in BW.
*Worked on a Global rollout project across Europe
