Solutions Architect - Worcestershire, Surrey & London with Remote Working - Contract (Inside IR35)

Our client is looking for someone to work in their corporate applications team. They need someone with a broad knowledge of service design, cloud infrastructure (Azure and Oracle) and app integration.

They are looking for someone who can come in and work with the technical teams to provide high level advice on applications and identity and network access, remote access, permissions, security.

The Key Responsibilities of a Solutions Architect:

  • Work with global and regional stakeholders to understand business need, propose solutions including new and innovative approaches to solving business challenges
  • Engage closely with technical delivery teams and product specialists to ensure robust, strategically aligned solutions are delivered
  • Work with partners and suppliers to ensure optimal engagement across projects and technologies
  • Participate or lead technical design reviews to ensure high quality technical designs, delivery against best practices and making use of re-useable components

Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Solutions Architect, however you will not be expected to have everything:

  • Strong background in system integration design, preferably with a focus on the Microsoft cloud technology stack (Logic Apps)
  • Experience in an Agile project management environment, including storyboarding and sprint delivery. Knowledge of SCRUM management would be advantageous
  • Knowledge and working experience with both Oracle Cloud
  • Strong stakeholder management, organisational and communication skills, focused on continuous improvement
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills; prepared to challenge conventional thinking
  • Working experience in Azure
  • Experience in architectural design and deployment of BI tools such as Power BI would be desirable
  • Familiar with business and technical concepts such as business process design, service management, applications, Servers, networks and security (both technical and process)
  • Proven Solution/Service design experience
  • Broad knowledge of solution areas such as transformation and migration, security, business analysis, applications, integration and infrastructure, service management and understands how these interact to arrive at a solution

Income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary.
