Description

I'm currently looking for an Junior IT Systems Delivery Officer. The purpose of the role is to support the Systems Delivery Officer with the development and maintenance of the ICT systems used by the service. This is an opportunity to join a team who are working on some really innovative and interesting digital projects as well as providing critical Back Office functions. The role will require a focus on supporting the day to day requirements arising out of the Planning service's Uniform planning application system providing support alongside a multidiscipline team, but will also get the opportunity to be involved in the digital programme.

Key Responsibilities:

1.To provide support to the Systems Delivery Officer.

2.To assist in maintaining the System Issues log and User prioritisation of fixes, reviewing the Issue logs developed and assessing whether issues are user knowledge gaps or new functionality requirements.

3.To assist in updating GIS and other planning related databases, including mapping on GIS systems to ensure compliance with current legislation. To assist for creating maps as and when required.

4.To assist with the preparation and co-ordination of internal and external performance returns, and assist in the analysis and presentation of detailed returns as required. Assist in monitoring and evaluating objectives and outcomes

5.To work with officers in related services to maximise system integration, and with ICT officers to develop ICT systems, for corporate benefit.

6.To interrogate new systems packages and functions, developing and undertaking bespoke training programmes to ensure staff are fully trained and conversant with the systems and ICT procedures used by the service.

7.To assist with the preparation and co-ordination of internal and external performance returns, and assist in the analysis and presentation of detailed returns as required. Assist in monitoring and evaluating objectives and outcomes

Experience/Qualification:

*A level in computing and/or NVQ in IT field

*Understanding and application of relevant ICT systems eg Uniform and associated packages

*Good working knowledge and application of Microsoft application (especially Excel, Access and BI) and IT scripts. eg SQL

*Appreciation of the UK planning system

*Experience of interrogating data, in particular Planning related and producing simple and effective statements.
