Network Security Engineer (Checkpoint/CCSA/Azure)
PLEASE NOTE: This role is inside IR35.
The successful candidate will have significant experience and knowledge of working with Checkpoint Firewalls as this is a key component to the role. Previous experience carrying out Firewall upgrades, administering multiple clusters as well as using more advanced features such as Application/URL rulesets and Https inspection is essential. Also important to this role is experience with Azure networking managing VNETs, ExpressRoute, VPNs and other Azure network features such as NSG/MS loadbalancer. Working with Check Point Firewalls in Azure is highly desirable.
Whilst, the primary focus of the role will be to provide day to day support for existing network services, this will be an all encompassing role and there are multiple projects across traditional on-premise network services, cloud and security services which the successful candidate will have a strong involvement in.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong experience of working in a complex, multi-site network environment where Security is a core.
- In-Depth understanding of networking fundamentals including: Network topology, Data Centre Infrastructure systems, Layer 2/Layer 3 Switching, VLANs, Routing, VPNs, High availability protocols.
- Very strong CheckPoint Firewall experience (Checkpoint certification highly advantageous)
- Experience with Azure (highly desirable)
- Hands-on experience with Meraki Switches and wireless infrastructure, Arista software, Forcepoint Proxy, Citrix NetScaler (desirable)
