My client is seeking a Technical project manager to work on a defence project.
Location: Remote - occasional visit to client site (london, Gloucester or corsham)
Pay: £ per day
Duration: 3 months initial contract
IR35: Outside, this work will be delivered via statement of work
Security Clearance: Candidates should possess active SC security clearance. However, candidates without this may be considered.
This person will have responsibilities within the project and report to the Senior Project Manager who has overall responsibility for the delivery. They should have experience of managing scrum software development teams. They should also be very organised and good at tracking dependencies which will be essential for arranging the demonstration that will be performed at customer premises within the UK in mid-July.
Main responsibilities:
- Scrum master of a multi-disciplinary sprint team including UI, modelling and Back End engineers.
- Using Jira to track sprints and progress using basic Jira reports such as version or sprint reports.
- Analysing the resource profile against work remaining to check plan to completion.
- Managing and chasing up dependencies within the project team, between internal teams and external subcontractors.
- Escalating blockers to the Senior Project Manager.
- Providing input in to the project progress reporting.
- Managing logistics for the end of project demonstration for things such as equipment transportation and hotel bookings.
