A Drupal Site Builder is required as the Client is planning to move its current web presence from the existing SharePoint environment to Drupal. Alongside this, all sub sites, which are currently hosted in a range of environments, some of which are external, will be brought in house and run alongside the main Client website. The Client will also review its requirements for the Intranet and have a presence on the Drupal platform rather than the existing SharePoint environment.
As the Drupal Site Builder you will work with the existing team and a contract architect to: building initial sub sites; to demonstrate the art of the possible with Drupal and assist in assessing the skills within the existing teams within the business to identify skills gaps and development paths.
You must be able to:
Develop Drupal site building best practices and modules (views, panel etc)
Perform assigned tasks to budget and on time
Alert the project manager on impediments
Understands and adhere to architectural standards
Understand and utilise the team's standard development and/or design tools
Essential skills/experience required:
One or more years of Drupal site building experience in a commercial environment (not public sector)
Demonstrable experience and expertise in site building on Drupal using standard site building approach (views, panels, paneliser and taxonomy)
Expertise on PHP and JavaScript coding
Other duties include:
Creation of replacement sites various websites
Assess capability of existing team to support newly created Drupal sites and recommend action needed in the short term.
Assist in skills gaps analysis on existing team members who will form part of a Web Product Team.
